The Suki Gods say: Cake Yum = Elliptical Fun!!

Here are some darling pictures of my baby. Is she not the most photogenic little person out there? She is doing her best imitation of an ancient deity. She rules the roost, let me tell you. I am going to show you a few cakes that I made this week.

This is my fancy semi- Buche de Noel. I call it semi because it is made with a plain roll cake and lemon curd. Just decorated in Buchey fashion. Complete with some pistachio nest eggs.

Here is a really cool Spiderman cheesecake that we made for my friend Amber's son. We actually dyed a portion of the cheesecake red and black and then piped it back into the cake. Next we have to tackle Dora.

Here is my vanilla chiffon cake with pink butttercream frosting and white rosettes and shells.

Here is my carrot cake. It wasn't bad. Had coconut, walnuts, pineapple. I still prefer carrot cake with sweet potato. Mrs Fields was a genius...

Angel Food Cake. Pretty. But I hate it. There was also the BEST pineapple upside down cake in the universe. But I ate most of it. I rarely eat what I bring home, so you guys are going to have to trust me that it was deeeeeelicious!!

And on the the excercise. No one can eat this much cake without feeling an emmense amount of guilt, right?
Freddy was an absolute sweetheart and he came over one night and completely put my elliptical together. It's a good thing, cause I really suck.

Here is the finished product! Freddy is testing it out just to make sure I don't fall over and break my leg. Could happen anyway....

Freddy thought my skills were so bad he had to capture it on camera.

Well, that's all for now!!

Random, Beautiful Life....

Is this an optical illusion? Is this a tiny suki in a tiny chair or a super suki in a normal chair?? Hmmmm. Either way it's adorable...

Mom is working very hard on her masterpiece.....

And what a masterpiece it is! Wow!!

Oh boy! It's my new Car!! Look at the deep, beautiful red color! Gorgeous!!

Here is a pic of Sarah and I eating dinner with mom at our school's restaurant. Goodnight!

Carnival Fun!

So I made Sarah pose with me and the National Guard car... cause I really like cheesy photo ops..

There was a sandbox where you could dig for dino bones. Can you tell the girls are thrilled to have discovered some raptor eggs?

Carrie and I are in the front seat of a very important fire engine truck...

Well, at least for those under 4ft tall....

Here is Carrie, Sarah, and I with the three most amazing fried ice cream sundaes I've ever seen in my life. Texas, beat this! Yum!!!

Just Another Day in the Neighborhood...

Good evening everybody! I've got some funny stories and some funny pictures to share with you tonight. Last night was the last day of the first term in school so sarah, carrie, stephanie, dave, and i went out for drinks last night. and oh my! i had my very first beer! we played pool, and goofed off for awhile. it was great fun. i really like the girls i have met. without giving too much away, i'll just say that i am not one for subtlety when i am out having fun. afterwards dave and i went to some 24hour steak and hotcakes house and we ended up ordering pancakes, chiliburger, farmer's omelet with hashbrowns and an english muffin and country fried steak with over easy eggs. yeah, quite a bit for two people.

Here is a picture of Dave and Suki.

Here is Suki, all whored out...

Here is Mom, attempting to eat a large plate of cookies...

Suki and I are sharing a ladyfinger....

Here is my first friend in Oregon, Freddy! Would you believe he just turned 20? He's a sweetheart.

and bye for now! I have many more posts to catch up on!! Keep reading up!

Obama In My Backyard...

So guess who that man is way up there? Yup. Obama had a rally in Suki's backyard. Apparently there were 75000 people here this afternoon. By the looks of this picture I would say we're about 30000 people away.... but thats all thanks to zoom. We were on the very outskirts, so yeah, about 75000 people away. But it was still amazing. Mom and I are ticking off all the cool things we've been too... Didn't get any tee shirts though.
Here is me and Suki at the outskirts of the Obama Rally. Can you tell she's having the most wonderful time? Yeah, she hated it.
Here is mom moments before she starts her exciting pie class. Doesn't she look happy? Enthusiastic? And totally fabulous in her snazzy green shirt? Thanks for coming mom!!
Mom didn't just get lessons... she made some real treats! A delicious double stuffed pastry cream fruit tart, a streusel covered apple pie.... and a yummy bacon and gruyere quiche. which is not pictured because mom and i ate the whole thing on the way home from school. Well, we did give half to carrie and her husband.

what would a blog be without a gorgeous picture of suki? Most of you don't get to see this end of her.... so what a treat! Mom has stacked some pillows up on the couch so suki can look out the window. adorable, isn't it? .....isn't it??

And Miles To Go Before I Sleep.... MILES.

Today I met up with a couple of my friends to go visit the Japanese Gardens. I should have known that we would encounter many obstacles by the fact that our big group outing had dwindled down to just four of us. Carrie and her husband Heath, Dave, and me. There's a picture of all of us later on down. But first, I will share with you the miles I walked to actually get to the gardens.

At around 2 I met up with Carrie, Heath, and Dave at school. Dave has a car that is very close to the car of my dreams. He has an old Chevy Silverado. I offered to trade him my car for his, but he thought that was too hilarious. Anyways, we all piled into my car because I have a free parking at the zoo membership. My driving was ridiculed from the get go and Dave turned out to be a SERIOUS back seat driver. The zoo parking lot was full so we followed the signs to the overflow shuttle parking lot. Just as we got there, the bus took off. So we waited.

Finally we got to the zoo and found out that the Japanese Gardens were a few miles or so up the hill. Great. So we started walking. And we walked and walked. Up and down hills, through bushes, huge piles of mud, leaves. It was awful. I was getting sweaty and sticky. I didn't think we were ever going to get there, but somehow we did. Dave and I decided to become members. It was a very beautiful place, and the weather was perfect. Although I think that the Fort Worth Japanese Gardens are prettier, maybe even lusher if thats possible. We'll go through the pictures in a minute. We decided that it would just be faster to walk back to school than trek the miles back through the woods, so we did. We were tired and getting grumpy and hot. Finally we made it back to school and Dave drove me over to my car. The end. =) Picture time!

Walking in we were greeted by a beautiful, serene zen garden.

Here is a side shot of Dave. He was making fun of the fact that I could squeeze into the side of the wall and the bench so her is a picture of him trying to do the same. As you'll see in the next photo, he's quite a bit taller than I am.

I asked this nice woman to take a picture of the four of us. From left to right: Heath, Carrie, me, Dave. Dave and I are doing our best impression of Japanese tourists. I brought Carrie a Team Suki button and she wore it proudly all day. Go Team Suki!!!

Another beautiful picture of the Gardens.

Okay, for anyone that didn't believe I walked for miles.. here is the proof on my feet. They are bloody and sore. Ouch!

And on that note.... I am off.... byebye!!

Hey, Girlfriend!

So, it's been awhile since I've written last. And it was going to be a longer while, because my internet decided to stop working last night, but luckily it came back up this afternoon. Dad came back this weekend and we had a lovely dinner tonight at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. I had a super yummy garlic and cheese stuffed chicken breast with french onion soup and 'fancy' mac n cheese. For dessert I had chocolate molten cake. This was some of the best food I've had in a long time. Deeeeeeeelicious!

Carrie tries to pose with Suki, but Suki would rather have the yummy donut I have in my hand.

Suki and Sarah pose for a lovely picture. But Suki is wondering... where is Shana?

After a stressful day at school, Carrie and Sarah and I went to Stanfords for drinks and yummy food. I've met some really nice people at school and I look forward to hanging out with them in the future.
For a special treat I changed things up one night and brought home a duck breast for Suki. This is the look on her face when she saw it....

And this is the duck breast. Yum, right? =)

A Semi-Nautical Adventure

Me and some missles... what a fabulous combination.

Dad is thinking that at this rate, maybe he could compete in the Strongest Man Competitions.. Hmmm. Possibilities...

A true submarine kitchen. Complete with fake food!

Adri and Dad try to look cute by the submarine. Dad thinks he's got the Gene Hackman thing going on here... any opinions?

Did I mention that Dad made more friends this weekend than I have the entire 3 months that I've been here? Yup, Dad is quite the social butterfly.....

What type of dog are you?

What is your favorite sweet treat?
